Coming off his first triathlon at IRONMAN 70.3 Boise, Apolo Ohno returns to his hometown of Seattle, WA, with a fresh perspective and new focus to run the Rock ‘n’ Roll ½ Marathon. Apolo reunites with his biggest fan, his dad, as viewers get a special tour of their favorite spots in the city. Meanwhile, Jen Ator, Women’s Health fitness director and Apolo’s teammate, travels to Seattle and also takes on the 13.1-mile race as she puts her fitness and knee strength to the test just a few weeks before taking on her first IRONMAN 70.3 race in Muncie, IN. For Apolo, this IRONMAN journey is about transforming himself into an endurance athlete and seeing how fast he can go against the best triathletes in the world. For Jen, this is the ultimate challenge of a lifetime, to see if she has what it takes to cross the finish line. Each day gets them one step closer to Kona.

Coach Spotlight: Mark Allen

Mark Allen is a living legend in the triathlon community. He's a 6-Time Hawaii Ironman World Champion, Voted "The Greatest Endurance Athlete of All Time" by ESPN. He has also excelled at the Olympic distance, winning the sport's inaugural World Championships in 1989 in Avignon, France, by more than a minute. He was undefeated in 10 trips to the Nice International Championships, and from 1988-1990 he put together a winning streak of 20 races. Over the course of his racing career, which ended in 1996, he maintained a 90% average in top-three finishes. He was named Triathlete of the Year six times by Triathlete magazine, and in 1997 Outside magazine tabbed him The World's Fittest Man. Allen was inducted into the Ironman Triathlon Hall of Fame in 1997 and USA Triathlon Hall of Fame in 2011. He's a widely renowned motivational speaker, coach and author of the award winning of Fit Soul, Fit Body: 9 Keys to a Healthier, Happier You and the highly inspiring Art of Competition.
