The best technique to use for Open Water Swim Starts is called Dolphining. If you carry out the technique correctly you will be able to enter deeper water quicker. The best place to practise is in the swimming pool using your hands to pull you across the pool. Gerry Rodrigues demonstrated a good technique compared to an inefficient technique which could result in a slower performance.
